Our Field Engagement Team consisting of Nick Best the National Field Engagement Team Leader, Rachel Bacon Field Engagement Administrator, and Tony Castellarin and Gareth Anderson the Board’s Field Engagement Officers, brings a wealth of professional experience within the fire and ozone space to the FPIB. The team’s knowledge aids in the Board’s strong commitment to ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance within the fire protection industry permit scheme.

Nick Best, National Field Engagement, Team Leader: Based in Victoria, Nick has a long history of successfully working face to face with individuals and connecting with them to reach a common goal in unison and joins the team having worked with the Fire Protection Association Australia. Priding himself on finding a way to connect with any individual, Nick leads the national Field Engagement Program with considerable professional and technical experience in the fire protection space.
Rachel Bacon, Field Engagement Administrator: Based in Melbourne, Rachel has worked extensively for the Board in the field engagement space. Having led on the roll-out of the Board’s pilot field engagement visits in Victoria, Rachel is a highly developed communicator, with extensive experience in the field engagement space.
Tony Castellarin, Field Engagement Officer: Based in Sydney as the Board’s NSW Field Engagement representative, Tony joins the team with extensive experience within building regulations and holds an acute awareness of fire safety protocols and legislation.
Gareth Anderson, Field Engagement Officer: Based in Brisbane and working as our representative across Queensland and the Northern Territory, Gareth joins the Board with an extensive career in fire protection, with experience at major fire protection organisations including Wormald and FirePro over the past decade.
